The Muslimah’s Collective of London seeks to create a safer space for young Muslim women to build our capacities and to organize within our communities in the pursuit of social justice in London, Ontario.

London’s Community Diversity and Inclusion Strategy Steering Committee Member
I was selected as one of the community champions and steering committee members that facilitated meetings to develop the city’s Diversity and Inclusion Strategy. I engaged with 200 Londoners learned that we are engaged and want to be connected to each other, we just need the spaces to do so. The CDIS is meant to increase a municipal platform that dismantles oppression and increases municipal and individual capacity. The strategies developed support the necessary activities to create a diverse and inclusive community.

Elected as a Youth delegate for NDP convention
Elected as a Youth Delegate for the Federal NDP convention to vote on issues of workers rights, tuition, carding and proportional representation.

Political Affairs Representative of UWO Black Student Association (BSA)
Curated and facilitated workshops on identity and inclusion.

Chosen as a Change Maker by the Inspirit Foundation
Chosen as a social change maker by the Inspirit Foundation to attend the Broadbent Institute Progress summit.
